Taking the Digital Citizenship Pledge

Since the start of the school year our 3rd & 4th graders have been learning about Digital Citizenship. We have been using Common Sense Media resources and Nearpod presentations to have discussions around privacy, communication, and respect. Part of that means making a commitment to each other and our selves that we will Communicate Responsibly and Kindly, Protect Our Own and Others' Private Information, Standing Up to Cyberbullying, Respect Each Others' Ideas and Opinions, and Give Credit when We Use Others' Work.
We will continue to explore the importance of Digital Citizenship throughout the year. Students will complete the Digital Passport program through Common Sense Media. Digital Passport is an interactive learning tool for grades three to five that teaches and assesses the basics of digital safety, etiquette, and citizenship. Students develop healthy digital habits from online games and videos, while deepening their learning through collaborative offline activities.
