Our 5th & 6th graders have been learning more about Digital Citizenship this week. We have been using Common Sense Media resources and Nearpod presentations to have discussions around privacy, communication, and respect. Part of that means making a commitment to each other and our selves that we will do our best to fulfill the following: Communicating Responsibly and Kindly, Protecting our own and others' private information, standing up to cyberbullying, respecting each others' ideas and opinions, and giving credit when we use others' work.

"...because it is very important to be safe, respectful, and kind online."
"... because it can/will keep you safe, when your on the internet. And it will show that you understand about what your doing, and that you know what you can and can't do."
"...because it is good to know the responsible ting to do."
We will continue to explore the importance of Digital Citizenship throughout the year so look for this topic to continue to pop up here again.
