Dorothy Canfield Fisher Books
The Dorothy Canfield Fisher Book Award is a great program that encourages Vermont kids to read a wide range of wonderful books. This years list offers great reads in fantasy, horror, realistic fiction, historical fiction, adventure, with a few non-fiction titles and a graphic novel added in for good measure.
Among my favorites so far are One Came Home by Amy Timberlake, Far Far Away by Tom McNeal, and Paperboy by Vince Vawter. I am still working my way through the list so I am sure to find another title to add to my list of favorites. Do you have a favorite so far? What did you like about it? Is there a book on the list your interested in? Why?
